It has only been a couple of days since my last blog post so I am either feeling overly ambitious, I forgot some things to mention, or more things have come up. It is probably a combination of all three!!!
Conference Scheduler:
When scheduling parent teacher conferences, please sign up with your child's homeroom teacher only. Unfortunately, we cannot meet with all of the 6th grade parents. However, if you have a concern with your child's progress in science or math, please feel free to contact Mrs. Fretheim (science) or Mr. Sorenson (math), to discuss any concerns. If you have not signed up for conferences online, please do so or call Linda at the office to set up a time. Thank you!
Picture Retakes:
Picture retakes will take place on Tuesday, October 27th, so please send your child's envelope/pictures to school that day. Thanks!
Book-It:
The sixth grade students have been asked to participate in the "Book-It" reading program. This program has been implemented in the past so students are familiar with it. If your child reads the number of minutes required on the reading calendar, he/she can earn a Pizza Hut certificate. In order to earn the certificate, your child needs to not only read the minimum number of minutes, but also needs to have the calendar signed by you, the parent/guardian. Please encourage your child's reading at home. Thank you!
Book Orders:
I am sending home book orders for the month of October this week. I am asking that if you do decide to order, you make checks payable to "Scholastic Book Clubs." Book orders are due Wednesday, October 28th. Thank you!
