Welcome to 6th Grade!

Hello to everyone, and I hope that you and your child had a great first week of sixth grade!  It seems that everyone is enjoying switching classes this year and seeing different teachers throughout the day.  I keep reminding them that they are closer and closer to being in junior high, so switching a few classes a day is similar to what junior high will be like.

First and foremost, I wanted to inform you that my classroom blog page is going to be a main way of communicating information to you.  I will typically post once a week but may post more than one day a week.  The purpose of the communication is to give you information on what has been going on in the week and any other events that will be coming up.  Please try and read the information so that you will know different things that we are doing in the classroom or any upcoming events.  On this page, you will also find pictures of your child in the classroom and read about what your child is doing in the classroom.  You will even be able to comment about anything that is written on the blog.  Your child will have a lot of great educational resources to help them extend their learning from the classroom. The blog is found at http://footballfanaticteacher.blogspot.com.  Typically, I do not give out paper copies for parents unless you would like a paper copy of the blog.  Have fun with it and enjoy!

I wanted to mention that if you have not returned any forms from Open House, please do so.  There are Internet permission forms and field trip permission slips that have not been returned.  If your child has permission, please return both of these forms. Also, if you still need to have your child signed up for Apple IDs, please contact the school so your child can have an Apple ID.  Please return these forms and sign up for an Apple ID as soon as possible.  Thanks!

Have a great week!
Mrs. McCarville
